Two key figures in the origin of Christmas are Nimrod, a great grandson of Noah, and his mother and wife, Semiramis, also known as Ishtar and Isis. Nimrod, known in Egypt as Osiris, was the founder of the first world empire at Babel, later known as Babylon ((Genesis 10:8-12; 11:1-9). From ancient sources such as the “Epic of Gilgamesh” and records unearthed by archeologists from long-ruined Mesopotamian and Egyptian cities, we can reconstruct subsequent events.

A few years later, Semiramis bore a son, Horus or Gilgamesh. She declared that she had been visited by the spirit of Nimrod, who left her pregnant with the boy. Horus, she maintained, was Nimrod reincarnated. With a father, mother, and son deified, a deceptive, perverted trinity was formed.
Semiramis and Horus were worshipped as “Madonna and child.” As the generations passed, they were worshipped under other names in different countries and languages. Many of these are recognizable: Fortuna and Jupiter in Rome; Aphrodite and Adonis in Greece; and Ashtoreth/Astarte and Molech/Baal in Canaan.

As the Islamic State tears through minority communities in northern Iraq, the extremist terror group, that owes its ascendance to funding from US allies in the Middle East, sent a message to the White House: We’re coming for you.
“I say to America that the Islamic Caliphate has been established,” Abu Mosa, a spokesman for the Islamic State (IS), formerly know as the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), told VICE Media. “Don’t be cowards and attack us with drones. Instead send your soldiers, the ones we humiliated in Iraq.”
“We will humiliate them everywhere, God willing, and we will raise the flag of Allah in the White House,” Mosa added.
On Thursday, in response to gains made by IS in Iraq, US President Barack Obama ordered airstrikes on IS targets to help protect Christians and Yazidis, a Kurdish religious sect in northern Iraq.
Rear Admiral John Kirby, a Pentagon spokesman, said airstrikes took place to help defend Kurdish forces near Erbil, Iraq. Two F/A-18 aircraft dropped 500-pound laser-guided bombs on a mobile artillery piece.

“Soldiers of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria will pass from here soon,” ABC News translated the note, which is accompanied by a Koran verse that reads: “and Allah is perfecting His Light even though the disbelievers hate (that).”
The tweet itself included both images along with a message in English:

According to an unnamed senior US intelligence official who spoke to ABC, Twitter use is consistent with ISIS tactics, but the authenticity of the images has not been verified. An international manhunt is underway for the British Islamic State (IS) jihadist who brutally beheaded American journalist James Foley in a gruesome video published by the group on Tuesday night.
The British jihadist already has a nickname in the British press: “Jihadi John.” One of three jihadists who left the U.K. to fight for I.S. in Iraq and Syria, they were together dubbed “The Beatles” by jihadists because they were British, Frank Gardner, the BBC’s security correspondent, told the BBC radio’s World at One program on Thursday afternoon. The Times of London reports that “John” is one of four British-Pakistanis who, along with Saudi guards, are in charge of more than a dozen Western hostages.
Instead of being used on the IS frontline, “John,” and fellow British Muslims nicknamed “Paul” and “Ringo,” are tasked with guarding Western prisoners who are used as human shields, for ransom or as bargaining chips, Gardner said.
“There are reports that they have been pretty brutal to their hostages. James Foley got a pretty tough time because he’s American,” Gardner said.
“John” has also been given the moniker “Black Beatle” and is described as “well-educated, intelligent, but [a] highly committed member of the extremist terror group,” The Telegraph reports. Sources told the Guardian that ‘John’ is the leader of the hostage-watchers and was the main negotiator in the ransom negotiations that led to the release of 11 IS hostages earlier this year.

What a difference a year makes. Around this time last year, the West was gearing up for military action against the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, who was accused of carrying out chemical weapons attacks on his own people. That intervention never came to pass, not least because domestic public opinion in countries such as Britain and the United States was opposed to further entanglements in the Middle East.
Now, the U.S. is contemplating extending airstrikes on Islamic State militants operating in Iraq in Syria — fighters belonging to a terrorist organization that is leading the war against Assad. The Islamic State’s territorial gains in Iraq and continued repression and slaughter of religious minorities there and in Syria have rightly triggered global condemnation. “I am no apologist for the Assad regime,” Ryan Crocker, a former U.S. ambassador to Syria, told NPR. “But in terms of our security, [the Islamic State] is by far the greatest threat.”

9-8-2014: Iran Supreme Leader: Prepare For The ‘New World Order’
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei warns that the “new world order is emerging” and that “Iran will have a strong role in creating” it, according to a Farsi-language transcript of Khamenei’s remarks late last week to the country’s Assembly of Experts.
Iran will lead this “new world order” that will replace American influence as capitalism and Western influence collapse, according to Khamenei, who underwent surprise prostate surgery on Monday.
“Iran will have a strong role in creating the new world order,” Khamenei said, explaining that Tehran would expand its already growing influence in Latin America and even Asia.
“We have important potential outside Iran, we have supporters, we have strategic depth, in the region, some because of Islam, some because of language, some because of Shia religion; they are our strategic depth, these are all our strengths, we should use them all,” Khamenei said, according to a translation of his remarks provided to the Washington Free Beacon.
